TOGETHER WITH BASEDASH

Instantly generate a visual UI for your database.

Devs are there to build software. When they’re spammed with requests for data access, something’s clearly wrong — and that’s why you need Basedash.

Simply connect your database, and Basedash will use AI to generate an interface. Voila, now anyone can work with data using admin panels, internal CRMs, dashboards, or SQL queries (which AI can write for you, too).

This setup allows business teams to access the data they need while developers can spend time on what they do best - developing.

🚫 Google Pauses AI Tool Gemini's Image Generation Amid Historical Accuracy Concerns

Google has temporarily halted Gemini’s ability to generate images of people, citing the need to enhance the tool's accuracy in historical depictions. The company's proactive step aims to address recent criticisms over the generation of historically inaccurate images, emphasizing its commitment to responsible AI use. In its announcement on the social media platform X, Google outlines its plan to refine Gemini's capabilities, ensuring a more accurate and respectful representation of historical figures and scenarios.

Criticism Sparks Action

The move comes after examples of Gemini's output, including misrepresentations of U.S. Founding Fathers, circulated on social media, sparking debate and highlighting the complexities of AI-generated content. Critics, including Paris-based venture capitalist Michael Jackson, have voiced concerns over the tool's interpretations, labeling them as distortions of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. This backlash has prompted Google to reevaluate its AI's depiction of diverse historical figures, acknowledging the need for improvements in how its algorithms interpret and visualize historical accuracy. Take a look below to see some examples ⬇️

As Google works on updating Gemini, the tech giant reaffirms its dedication to creating AI tools that respect historical truth and cultural diversity.

AI Revolution: Samsung's One UL 6.1 Update to Enrich Galaxy Experience 🌌

Samsung is set to broaden the reach of its Galaxy AI features with the upcoming One UL 6.1 update, slated for late March. Initially introduced with the Galaxy S24 series, these features will extend to earlier Galaxy models, including the S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Tab S9 series. Highlights include Google's "Circle to Search," Live Translate for calls, an "Interpreter" for live conversation translations, "Chat Assist" for tone-adjusted messaging, "Note Assist" for summarizing and translating notes, and "Browsing Assist" for quick news summaries. Additionally, photo editing will be enhanced with "Generative Edit" for image adjustment, "Edit Suggestion" for photo polishing, and "Instant Slow-Mo" for enriched slow-motion videos.

Stable Diffusion 3 Unleashed: Setting New Standards in AI Imagery 🌟

Stability AI has unveiled Stable Diffusion 3 (SD3), aiming to maintain its lead in AI-generated imagery amidst competition from OpenAI's Sora and Google's Gemini. SD3 introduces an upgraded "diffusion transformer" and "flow matching" for enhanced image quality, supporting a wide hardware range. While specifics are limited, SD3 promises multimodal understanding and video capabilities, setting it apart with its open approach compared to API-restricted rivals. The company emphasizes safety measures to prevent misuse, promising continuous improvement post-release. Check out a comparison video below 👇️

AI Leaders Unite for Legislation Against Deepfake Dangers 🚨

Over 500 individuals from the AI community have signed an open letter advocating for stringent regulation against AI-generated impersonations, known as deepfakes. The letter, which includes notable figures like Jaron Lanier, Frances Haugen, and Andrew Yang, emphasizes the societal threat posed by deepfakes and urges governments to enforce laws to curb their proliferation. It specifically calls for the criminalization of deepfake child sexual abuse materials, penalties for creating or distributing harmful deepfakes, and obligations for developers to prevent their technology from being used to generate harmful content. This push for regulation reflects the AI community's growing concern over the misuse of deepfake technology despite the unlikelihood of immediate legislative action in the U.S.

A win in the bag. Excellent.
